WATCH: Naked Villainy interview
Missed the interview about the groundbreaking true crime podcast: 'The Storyteller Naked Villainy?' Thanks to a Substack innovation - you can WATCH it here!
It was a story which traumatised the Scottish city of Aberdeen in 1978. A young, brilliant geneticist Dr Brenda Page was found dead in her bed. She had been murdered.
Police had a prime suspect. But it would take 45 years for him to be brought to justice.
And in a British first, journalist Isla Traquair has been granted recordings of the trial to make her podcast: ‘The Storyteller, Naked Villainy.’
In this interview with Behind the Crimes, Isla tells host Rob Murphy about her 20-year association with the inquiry, of dealing with the responsibility of working with the material from this intricate trial - and of how the work Brenda was performing in the 1970s led to her killer’s conviction in 2023.
To mark the innovations Substack is making with video on its app, here is our first video podcast episode.
It is the same as the audio episode released earlier this week.
